Our housemaid

Many of our friends wondered why we could have a housemaid to look after Cruz in such a short period of time after we decided to hire one. But what amazed you more is that she does her job so well up to now which is out of our expectation. Shiela is the one who is practical and conscientious in managing the household including the baby, cooking and cleaning. At first, she might not be as skillful as other babysitters since she hasn’t taken care of an infant for more than 6 years. I can see she has been putting great efforts to learn again and pick up the necessary skills. She takes the initiative to consult her friends in church who are currently looking after babies/toddlers. What impressed us most is that she would honestly tell us what she did before may not be good though and in what areas she has to improve in the best interests of Cruz according to the experiences of her friends. Last week, she asked a churchmate to give her lyrics of some popular kid songs so that she can sing to Cruz at home. We are happy to sing together at night to make fun for Cruz. At present, I am reading a book about infant brain development. I will copy her those pages that I would like to do for Cruz during daytime. She does read them carefully and follows the activities as far as she can. She told me that Cruz has become one of the targets in the prayer of her ministry and wish God leads him to grow healthily, happily and full of His blessing. I can feel her love to Cruz comes from her heart which is genuine and sincere.
